How to Export Your Streak Pipeline to CSV (and Move It to Another CRM)
Streak has no Download CSV button. It exports to Google Sheets, and from there a CSV is one menu away. Here is the full route, from export to cleaning, import and cancelling, plus what the export leaves behind.

Streak does not have a "Download CSV" button. What it has is an export to Google Sheets, and from there a CSV file is one menu away. This guide covers the whole route: getting your pipeline out, cleaning the file, importing it into another CRM, and only then cancelling Streak.
The export steps follow Streak's own help centre as of October 2026. The cleaning and import steps work for any CRM that accepts CSV; we use Teamopipe, our own product, as the import example.
Why people export their Streak data
Price. Streak's cheapest plan with pipelines is Pro at $49 per user per month on annual billing, or $59 monthly. That is $588 a year for one person and $2,940 for five. Our Streak pricing breakdown has every tier.
The free plan lost its pipelines. Streak's pricing page says "the free plan does not include CRM pipelines." If you built deal tracking on the free tier, getting your data out is the sensible first move.
A backup. Even if you stay, a copy of your pipeline in a sheet is cheap insurance.
What the export contains, and what it does not
| Data in Streak | Exported? | What to do about it |
|---|---|---|
| Boxes (all columns visible in the pipeline view) | Yes, by default | This becomes your deals file |
| Contacts | Yes, by default | Import before deals |
| Organizations | Yes, by default | Import first |
| Tasks | Optional, tick it | Recreate open tasks; archive the rest |
| Call logs and meeting notes | Optional, tick it | Keep as an archive or paste key notes into deals |
| Pipeline newsfeed | Optional, tick it | Keep as a history record |
| Email threads | No | They stay in your Gmail |
| Files | No | Download any you need from the box first |
| Comments | No | Copy important ones by hand, or pull them via Streak's API |
The big gap is the link between a box and its email threads. Your emails are safe in Gmail, but the export does not record which threads belonged to which box.
Before you start
- Export before you cancel or change plan. After cancelling, pipelines become view-only on the free plan.
- Export one pipeline at a time. Each pipeline has its own stages and columns, so each becomes its own file.
- Write down your stages and custom columns. You will recreate them in the new CRM before importing.
- Note who owns which boxes, so you can reassign deals afterwards.
- Show any hidden columns you want to keep. The export takes the columns visible in the pipeline's spreadsheet view.
Step 1: Export the pipeline to Google Sheets
- Open the pipeline in Gmail.
- In the pipeline toolbar, click the three-dot menu and choose Export.
- Choose what to export: Full pipeline, Selected boxes or a Saved view. For a move, pick Full pipeline.
- Choose a new Google Sheet (simplest) or an existing one.
- Review the data options. Boxes, contacts and organizations are ticked by default. For a move, also tick tasks, call logs and meeting notes, and the newsfeed.
- Click Start Export. Streak emails you a link to the sheet, which also appears in Google Drive.
If Export is greyed out, you are almost certainly in an unsaved filtered view. Switch to the main pipeline or a saved view. Scheduled, recurring exports need Pro+ or Enterprise, but a one-off export does not.
Step 2: Download each tab as CSV
- Open the sheet from Streak's email or from Google Drive.
- Each data type sits on its own tab.
- Select a tab, then File → Download → Comma Separated Values (.csv). Google Sheets downloads only the tab you are on, so repeat for Boxes, Contacts and Organizations.
- Name the files clearly, for example sales-pipeline-deals.csv.
Keep the original sheet untouched as your archive.
Step 3: Clean the data in about 10 minutes
The data is already in Google Sheets, so clean a copy there before downloading.
- Keep one header row. Delete title rows or blank rows above the column names.
- Delete columns you do not need, such as internal keys and empty columns.
- Map stages. Add a "New stage" column next to the Streak stage column and write your new pipeline's stage beside each old one. A VLOOKUP against a two-column mapping table does the whole sheet at once. Decide how Won and Lost boxes come across; most CRMs treat them as a status rather than a stage.
- Fix dates and values. Set date columns to one format, ideally YYYY-MM-DD. Strip currency symbols so deal values are plain numbers.
- Dedupe contacts with Data → Data cleanup → Remove duplicates on the email column.
- Rename headers to match your target CRM's import template. If the importer expects "Deal name", "Stage" and "Value", name the columns exactly that.
Then download each tab as CSV, in UTF-8 so accented names survive.
Step 4: Import into your new CRM
The order matters: organizations first, then contacts, then deals, so each deal can attach to a person and company that already exist.
In Teamopipe:
- Create a pipeline for each Streak pipeline and add the stages from your "New stage" column. Add custom fields for any Streak columns you want to keep.
- Go to Settings → Import / Export. Each record type has its own card with a downloadable template.
- Import Organizations, then Contacts, mapping each column to a field.
- Import the Boxes file as Deals, choosing the target pipeline and mapping "New stage" to the stage field.
- Test with five rows first. If something maps wrongly, delete the test deals and re-import.
The CSV import and export guide in our help centre covers formatting and troubleshooting.
Reconnecting email threads. For active deals, open the latest thread in Gmail and link it to the deal from the sidebar; Teamopipe tags the thread and keeps it on the deal. For closed deals, the CSV record is usually enough.
The same sequence works for NetHunt and Copper, which also import CSV with column mapping. Our posts on NetHunt pricing and Copper pricing cover what each costs once you land.
Step 5: Check the import
- Count the rows. Deals in the new pipeline should match rows in your CSV.
- Open five deals at random and compare them field by field with the sheet.
- Check every stage. A deal in an unexpected stage usually means a stage name did not match.
- Check contacts and organizations are attached to the right deals.
- Reassign deals and tasks to the right owner.
- Recreate open tasks and reminders, using the exported tasks tab as your checklist.
- Only then invite your team.
Step 6: Cancel Streak only after the import is confirmed
Use the new CRM for a few days first. Then, per Streak's help centre:
- In Gmail, open Streak's Home page (left navigation, or the Streak icon at the top of your inbox).
- Click the credit card icon in the top right to open Billing and Teams.
- Under Plan, click Cancel Paid Plan.
- Answer the two short questions and confirm.
Billing actions work only in desktop Chrome. Your account stays on the paid plan until the end of the billing cycle, then drops to free; your pipelines are not deleted but become view-only. To cancel immediately, Streak asks you to email support@streak.com. The cancellation article does not cover refunds, so ask support if you paid annually and are mid-term.
You can keep the extension for its free email tools, or remove Streak from Gmail entirely.
When staying on Streak is the better choice
Exporting is easy. Moving is a bigger decision. Streak is likely the better fit if:
- Your box history matters day to day. Threads, files and comments do not travel, so the CRM view of each deal starts lighter.
- You only wanted a backup. Export it and stay. On Pro+ you can schedule exports.
- You are moving to a different email account, not a different CRM. Streak's help article says exporting is not the best route for that and suggests contacting their support.
- Your workflow depends on a Streak-only feature, such as the thread splitter or high-volume mail merge.
If price is your reason for moving, Teamopipe Starter is $19 per user per month on annual billing against Streak Pro's $49; for three users that is $684 a year against $1,764. Reporting and sequences are on Growth at $29. The 14-day trial includes Growth features and needs no card, so you can import a real Streak export before you decide. See the Teamopipe vs Streak comparison for the feature-by-feature view.

FAQ
Can I export Streak directly to CSV?
Not directly. Streak exports a pipeline to Google Sheets. Open the sheet and use File → Download → Comma Separated Values (.csv) for each tab you need.
Does the Streak export include my emails?
No. Email threads, files and comments are not exported. Your emails stay in Gmail; what you lose is the record of which threads belonged to which box.
Can I export a Streak pipeline on the free plan?
Streak's export article lists no plan restriction for one-off exports; only scheduled exports require Pro+ or Enterprise. Since the free plan no longer includes pipelines, export before you change or cancel your plan.
What happens to my data when I cancel Streak?
According to Streak's help centre, nothing is deleted. At the end of the billing cycle your account moves to the free plan and your pipelines and boxes become view-only.
How long does moving from Streak take?
For a small team with one or two pipelines, about an hour: ten minutes to export, ten to clean, and the rest to import, check and re-link active threads.
Does Teamopipe migrate Streak data for me?
You run the import yourself through Settings → Import / Export, using CSV templates for each record type. If something does not map cleanly, support usually replies within 4 hours on business days.
