CSV import and export - full guide

May 20, 2026

CSV is how data moves in and out of Teamopipe. You can import deals, contacts, and organizations from any CSV file, and export any of those at any time. This covers both directions — every import and export path available.

Exporting data

Export pipeline deals

  1. Open any pipeline.
  2. Click the three-dot menu in the top right.
  3. Select Export to CSV.

The export includes all deals in that pipeline with all fields — system fields (name, stage, assignee, dates) and custom fields. Available on both Free and Pro plans. You can also export deal comments separately from the same menu.

Export contacts and organizations

Open the Contacts or Organizations section in the left sidebar and use the Export option. If the export button appears greyed out, the self-service export may not yet be available in your extension version — reach out via the chat in the bottom-right corner or the contact form at teamopipe.com/en/contact and we'll prepare a manual export for you.

Importing data

Import deals into a pipeline

  1. Open the pipeline you want to import into.
  2. Click the three-dot menu in the top right and select Import CSV.
  3. Upload your file and map the CSV columns to Teamopipe deal fields.
  4. Confirm the import.

Import contacts and organizations

Open the Contacts or Organizations section and use the Import option, then map columns to fields. For contacts, email is the primary key — each row should have an email address. Organization imports require at minimum a name; website and custom fields can be included.

Import templates

Teamopipe provides official CSV templates with the correct column headers for contacts, organizations, and deals — using them prevents column mapping errors. Download them from api.teamopipe.com/api/v2/docs (look for the Import section), or request one via the contact form.

Preparing your CSV

  • Save as .csv (UTF-8), not .xlsx
  • First row must be column headers
  • Remove duplicate rows before importing — each row creates a new record
  • No merged cells, extra worksheets, or special formatting
  • Use a consistent date format — YYYY-MM-DD is safest

Known import issues

If the import screen disappears after clicking Continue, refresh and try again — this is a known bug on some Chrome versions. If it persists, contact us via chat or the contact form and attach your CSV; we'll run the import manually, typically within one business day.

Migrating from another CRM

Moving from Streak, HubSpot, Pipedrive, or another CRM? Export your data there as CSV and import it here. For Streak migrations we handle the import for you at no cost — share your export file via the contact form. For large or complex datasets (many pipelines, many custom fields), reach out before importing and we'll advise on the best approach.

If you run into issues, use the chat in the bottom-right corner or the contact form at teamopipe.com/en/contact — we typically respond within 4 hours on business days.
