How to filter, sort and search deals

Filters let you cut through a busy pipeline and focus on exactly what matters — your deals, a specific stage, or any field combination. This article covers filtering, searching, and sorting in both Kanban and List view.

Filters let you cut through a pipeline with many deals and focus on exactly what matters right now — deals assigned to you, deals in a specific stage, overdue items, or any combination of fields. This article covers filtering, searching, and sorting in both Kanban and List view.

Filtering deals

Filters work in both Kanban and List view. To apply a filter:

  1. Open any pipeline
  2. Click Filters at the top of the pipeline view
  3. Select the field you want to filter by and set the value
  4. The board or list updates immediately to show only matching deals

You can combine multiple filters at once — for example, Assignee = you AND Tag = Referral to see only your referral leads. Click Clear filters to reset.

What you can filter by

  • Assignee — see only your deals, or a specific team member's
  • Stage — narrow to one or more stages
  • Tags — filter by any tag applied to deals
  • Custom fields — any field you've created (deal value, lead source, close date, etc.)

Note: Saved filters are coming soon. Currently, filters reset when you navigate away from the pipeline. If you rely on the same filter repeatedly, the fastest workaround is to bookmark the filtered URL or note your filter combination somewhere accessible.

Searching deals

The search box at the top of any open pipeline lets you search deals by name within that pipeline. Type any part of the deal name and the list narrows to matching results.

Note: Search is case-sensitive in some situations. If you're not finding a deal you know exists, try matching the exact capitalisation of the deal name — e.g. "James from Apollo" rather than "james from apollo".

Sorting deals in List view

Sorting is available in List view. Click any column header to sort deals by that field ascending or descending. Useful fields to sort by:

  • Close date — see deals expiring soonest at the top
  • Deal value — prioritise highest-value opportunities
  • Deal name — alphabetical order for quick scanning
  • Assignee — group deals by owner

Kanban view doesn't support sorting — cards appear in the order they were created within each column. Switch to List view if you need to sort.

Showing and hiding columns in List view

In List view, click the Columns button to choose which fields appear as columns. Hide fields you don't need for a cleaner view, or add custom fields you want to track at a glance. Column preferences apply per pipeline.

Practical filtering workflows

Daily review: Filter by Assignee = you, then sort by close date in List view. You get your own deals ordered by urgency in under 10 seconds.

Weekly pipeline review with a team: Filter by Stage to look at each stage one at a time. Discuss what's stuck, who needs help, what's moving.

Finding high-value deals: Sort by deal value descending in List view to immediately see your biggest opportunities regardless of which stage they're in.
