How to create a deal manually

Shows when and how to create a deal without starting from an email thread.

Most Teamopipe deals start from an email, but not every opportunity arrives in Gmail first. Manual deals are useful when a lead comes from a call, referral, event, or personal introduction.

How to create a manual deal

Open the pipeline in the Teamopipe left sidebar → New Deal → enter a clear deal name → choose stage → fill in value, source, close date → add or select the related contact → Save. The deal appears on the board like any other — just not linked to an email thread yet.

Name deals well

Good: "Acme Corp — Website redesign", "Sarah Peterson — Coaching package". Bad: "New project", "Call follow-up". The name should be readable months later when you scan the board.

Linking an email later

When the prospect emails you, open the thread → click the Teamopipe icon → search for the existing deal → select it → choose thread-level linking. This connects the email to the deal you already created.
