How to create a task from a deal or Kanban card
Step-by-step guide to adding follow-up tasks from deals and Kanban cards.
The best time to create a task is when you realize the next step. In Teamopipe you can do that directly from a deal or from the Kanban board.
Create a task from a deal
Open pipeline → click deal card → Tasks tab → New Task → enter specific title → set due date → choose type, priority, assignee → Save. The task is linked to the deal automatically.
Create a task from a Kanban card
Open pipeline in Kanban view → hover over the deal card → click Add Task → fill in details → Save. Useful during pipeline review when you want to add next actions across many cards without opening each full record.
Write useful task titles
Good: "Send proposal by Friday", "Follow up with Mark about budget", "Confirm kickoff date". Bad: "Follow up", "Check", "Email". The clearer the title, the faster you can act later. Set due dates that reflect actual urgency — don't put everything on today.
