How task notifications work
What task notifications mean, when they are sent, and how to use them without creating noise.
Task notifications keep follow-ups from disappearing inside Gmail. They are most useful when tasks are specific, assigned to the right person, and given realistic due dates.
What triggers notifications
Teamopipe can notify you when: a task is assigned to you, a task status changes, a task is due soon, or a task is overdue. Delivery depends on your notification settings — email, in-app, or both.
Where to manage notifications
Teamopipe left sidebar → Notifications. Choose whether each type is delivered by email, in-app, or both. Keep email notifications for important reminders; use in-app only for lower-priority activity.
Make notifications useful
Good task titles make notifications actionable: "Send revised proposal to Anna" tells you exactly what to do. "Follow up" does not. In a team, assign tasks to the person who will actually do the work — they get the notification, not the whole team.
