Does Teamopipe work with Google Workspace?
Explains Google Workspace support, Gmail account requirements, and what users need to know before installing Teamopipe.
Yes. Teamopipe works with both personal Gmail accounts and Google Workspace accounts using custom domains such as you@yourcompany.com.
What kind of Google account you need
Teamopipe works with a personal @gmail.com account, a Google Workspace account on your company domain, or a business Gmail setup where each user has their own Google account. No separate password is required — you sign in with Google.
Workspace admin restrictions
Some companies restrict which Chrome extensions or Google OAuth apps employees can use. If Teamopipe installs but cannot connect to Gmail, your Google Workspace admin may need to allow the extension or approve access. Signs: Google blocks the sign-in screen, you see an admin approval message, or a teammate can use Teamopipe but your company account cannot.
Shared inboxes are different
Google Workspace support does not mean shared inbox support. Teamopipe is designed for each user to connect their own Gmail or Workspace mailbox. Three people all working from sales@company.com as the same mailbox is not a supported native workflow. If your sales process depends on a shared inbox, contact support before migrating.
