How to create and use an email template
Step-by-step instructions for creating templates and inserting them from Gmail compose.
Create templates for messages you send repeatedly. Once saved, a template can be inserted from Gmail compose using the Teamopipe T icon.
Create a template
Templates → New template → enter a clear name (e.g. "Proposal follow-up — 3 days", "Demo recap", "New lead reply") → add subject → write body → insert variables like First name if needed → Save.
Insert a template in Gmail
Open Gmail → start composing or replying → click the Teamopipe T icon in the compose window → select the template → Use template → personalize → send. Always read before sending — a template is a starting point.
Keep templates short
Separate templates for each moment (initial reply, follow-up, proposal sent, payment reminder) are easier to personalize and less likely to sound generic. Review templates every few months — if you constantly rewrite before sending, the template needs improvement.
