Extension not showing in Gmail

Step-by-step guide to fix the Teamopipe sidebar not showing or disappearing from Gmail.

May 18, 2026

This is the most common issue and is almost always solvable in a few steps. Please try these in order.

Step 1 — Refresh Gmail

Close and reopen the Gmail tab. Sometimes two refreshes are needed, especially after install or a Chrome update.

Step 2 — Re-activate the extension

Look for the Teamopipe icon in Chrome’s top bar. Click it and select “Use Teamopipe with this account.” This re-links the extension to your active Gmail account.

Step 3 — Scroll down in the left sidebar

The Teamopipe section appears below Gmail’s standard labels. On some screen sizes it’s below the fold — scroll down on the left panel.

Step 4 — Check for Gmail Multiple Inboxes conflict

If you’re using Gmail’s Multiple Inboxes feature, it can hide the Teamopipe panel. Try disabling it: Gmail Settings → Inbox → Inbox type.

Step 5 — Clear cookies and cached files

Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Clear browsing data → Cookies and Cached images → Clear data. Then refresh Gmail.

Step 6 — Reinstall the extension

Remove from Chrome (Extensions → Manage Extensions → Remove) and reinstall from the Chrome Web Store. Your data is stored in the cloud — reinstalling does not delete anything. If none of these steps work, contact support@teamopipe.com with your Gmail address and Chrome version.
